Speechwriting.

A good speech is all about storytelling and truth telling, rhythm and pacing, and a balance of humor and wisdom. Getting this right takes practice and experience.

Beth has worked with three college presidents to draft and edit inauguration speeches, commencement speeches, convocation speeches, and remarks for every occasion. She has worked on speeches for board chairs, administrators, professors, and students. And, once the right words are in place, she serves as a coach on how best to deliver the message at hand.

For my inauguration as Allegheny College's 22nd president this past fall, Beth was the one person I turned to to edit my speech, and what she did with it was masterful: she tightened it, focused it, made it more powerful, and somehow made it even more "mine."
